Time Flies
I haven’t written in a while and was surprised when I logged in this morning and saw it is over a month! Summer has been busy and I am waiting to hear back on acceptance to some shows I have applied for. THe drawback is that not knowing if I am accepted or not I am hesitant to finish new pieces until I know if they are sized so I may carry or ship them to remote locations easily.
Being new to this money is always a concern and I need to be cognizant of shipping costs. This is not ideal as in my mind the pieces are often meant to be larger than I may easily carry to fly. This is limited by the size of the case I have to put them in to protect them. The thought of rolling them occured to me but that leaves some problems upon arrival i n having to flatten them out for display.
So I have settled on leaving them matted but unframed which reduces both size and weight.
In the interim I continue to assemble pieces in digital format in anticipation of printing them.. Which just occurred to me perhaps presenting in digital format is an additional option for ones that aren’t printed?
Thoughts ABOUND!!!
